This is our second generation kit to DIY a control system for powder coating oven (approx. 4’x4’x6′ size). The circuit is designed for a 240 V dual output system with a total oven draw no more than 50 Amps. It not only has an additional timer readout, but also independent control for dual heater output. This is a 240V 50A turnkey control panel for powder coating oven w/ light and fan control features. It allows you to run heating element up to 12,000 watt or up to estimate 128 cu.ft oven. It includes both temperature control and timer features, so user can cure the parts in the oven for a certain amount of time at the set temperature. This will maximize the finishing quality and minimize your time, resources and effort spent on building a control box.

With the PID controller SYL-2362, the user can directly change the set temperature by using the up & down keys. The timer JSL-74 has only a few parameters to set up; if door needs to be opened during a batch, one can uses pause or stop key pad to interrupt the timer. When the batch is finished, the coating process can be started again by pressing the reset button. When set temperature is reached, one can shut off one of the heaters to hold the temperature. The heater switches are connected to contactor coils. So once they are turned to OFF position, the heater outlet will be powered off completely by the contactor. Meanwhile, system performance is enhanced by SSR (Solid State Relay). When the heater switch is turned to ON position, the PID controller will provide power to the element via SSR which will take action in only 2 seconds.

The sensor provided can handle up to 900 degree F. The base of the probe is made of a 0.55″ (15 mm) long 5/16″-24 screw for easy mounting.

This is a 30A Control Panel for powder coating oven w/ light and fan control feature. The PID controller has built-in timer function, so that it can hold set temperature at a certain amount of time and then shut off power; press the blue push buttom momentarily, it will reset the timer and start aother curing batch. During the heating process, one can use a manual switch to turn ON or OFF the heater when needed. The alarm buzzer can be used as either temp alarm or finishing alarm; when it goes off, it can also be easliy muted by using the alarm ON/OFF selector switch.
