This silicon carbide hot surface ignitor replaces most applications on Rheem, Ruud, and Weatherking furnaces. This part is a direct replacement. This ignitor is the “wide” style used on many Carrier, Bryant, Payne, and Day & Night gas furnaces. The ceramic block on this ignitor is 2″ wide, 7/8″ deep, and 5/8″ thick. There are locating ridges on all four corners of the ceramic block. The heating element portion of the ignitor is 2-1/4″ long. The lead wires are 5-1/4″ long and are terminated with a plug that has two male pins inside a housing that has one square end and one pointed end. This connection style was used on many Carrier, Bryant, Payne, and Day & Night furnace models. Two high temperature ceramic wire nuts are also included and can be used if your existing plug is damaged or is not long enough.
